I’m Jackson Farnsworth, and this project is my ongoing visual record of life on Skidaway Island. From quiet marsh mornings to family gatherings and familiar neighborhood scenes, I photograph the everyday moments that define living here. Each image is created with intention — not just to capture how The Landings looks, but how it feels to call it home. About the Artist
Hello there, I'm Jackson Laughridge Farnsworth, a coastal fine-art photographer and visual documentarian based on Skidaway Island, in greater Savannah, Georgia. Working under the archive name Another Beautiful Day at The Landings, my photography studies the quiet intersections of marsh, tide, light, and time across the Lowcountry landscape.
My work is rooted in patience and place — early shoreline stillness, tidal transitions, barrier-island horizons, and the subtle wildlife rhythms that define life along the Georgia coast. Drawing inspiration from the observational stillness of the great blue heron itself. My approach to each frame as both record and reverence — an effort to preserve the visual character of Skidaway Island for years to come.
Rather than fast-moving or commercial subject matter, my imagery leans archival: heirloom-quality coastal scenes designed for collectors, residents, and those with a personal connection to the water.
